The Department of Film and Television Studies is looking to appoint an Assistant Professor. The post represents an invaluable opportunity for an outstanding early career researcher to join the UK’s top-ranked Film and Television Studies department, as measured by the 2014 Research Assessment Exercise. We especially welcome candidates with specialisms in world cinema or contemporary/historical visual cultures or new screen media.
The new appointee will carry out undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research activities and administrative duties for the Department and contribute to its reputation as a world leading centre for research and teaching.
The new appointee will have an honours degree and a PhD in a relevant discipline and experience of undergraduate teaching. You will also have a clear research agenda and an emerging record for producing world class publications.
Applications should include a writing sample (either an article, or book chapter) of no more than 8,000 words. This should be submitted in electronic form.
