University College Birmingham requires two external examiners specialising in marketing for the posts listed below.
POST 1 – BA/FdA Digital Marketing and MA Marketing Management with Events Hospitality and Tourism programmes.
POST 2 – BA/FdA Marketing Management and BA/FdA Marketing with Events Management programmes.
The successful candidates will need to be higher education academics with experience in course design and delivery at a minimum of postgraduate Level 7 for POST 1 and undergraduate Level 6 for POST 2 and should be of senior lecturer position or higher at a UK University or College. Industry experience is also essential as University College Birmingham offers a very strong vocational content in its provision, the priority being to develop “marketing-ready” graduates and post-graduates. These posts will be for a period of 4 years commencing 2016/17. Candidates would ideally need to be available for an induction event held on 21st April 2016 but this is not compulsory. Due to a shortage of mentors we currently cannot consider any first time external examiners so candidates must have had experience of at least one previous position as external examiner.
