Hi Angelina,
Glenford Howe's book Race, War and Nationalism: A Social History of West Indians in the First World War might be a help. While most of the chapter on recruitment strategies focuses on the recruitment methods of officials, Howe also mentions the religious pro-enlistment message and a newspaper cartoon depicting an affectionate alliance between Satan and the Kaiser. He lists a couple of sources on the C of E's role in the war (Albert Marrin, 1974 and Alan Wilkinson, 1978) in the notes for the chapter.
Best wishes,
Kim
