The National Jazz Archive is seeking volunteers to assist on its second Heritage Lottery funded project: The Intergenerational Jazz Reminiscence Project. It aims to explore the investments different generations make in promoting, performing, supporting and documenting UK jazz heritage.
It will involve a rich programme of oral history, workshop activity, performance and exhibition events largely focused on the Essex region. This will offer experience to volunteers in research and exhibition preparation, cataloguing, oral history transcription, as well as blogging and social media promotion. The appointment also offers specialist training by the Oral History Society.
The Project runs for 18 months requiring assistance on a part time flexible schedule.
