This post is designed to provide an opportunity to develop and train for a career in medical statistics. You are likely to have, or be completing a Masters in some aspect of Statistics.
Within CCTU, the main duties will be as Statistical Consultant and collaborator to clinical researchers in Cambridge. The statistical focus of the CCTU is in the design and analysis of clinical trials analysis and clear interpretation in public. The job is an ideal opportunity to gain on-the-job training.
You will be responsible for the development of your own projects in consultation with the line manager. You will be expected to direct analyses in applied studies. There are no formal line management responsibilities.
You will be expected to work in collaboration with researchers from statistical and other disciplines as well as independently. This may require solving problems that will entail novel approaches and the integration of different ideas and activities to ensure the successful completion of research projects.
