The beauty is that they have a wheelchair! You can change the figure - hat, hair, body, etc and any of them can use the wheelchair.
The wheelchair is the significant creation. What is more interesting is how kids use it.

Subject: Lego's wheelchair user
Hi All;
Just wanted to highlight Lego's move to have a new wheelchair user figure! Not significant architecturally or for bus design, but is when it comes to diversity and design. Think there may only one or two female figures too? (One's a pirate).
Article is by Rebecca Atkinson and can be found at: http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/feb/01/lego-wheelchair-toys-message-disabilities?CMP=twt_gu
Alternatively, there's a link at our TheAccessOfficer website with more about Diversity in design: http://theaccessofficer.n-somerset.gov.uk/

Anthony Rylands
