Invitech pregnancy testing kits
We have had some concerns over the quality of this kit on a number of occasions and are looking to change the supplier.

Subject: Faulty Invitech Urine Pregnancy Testing Cassette
Dear All ,
Please be aware that the Biochemistry Laboratory at BHRUT have encountered a discrepant Invitech urine pregnancy test cassette (Product INV-FHC-U102, Lot W00150359). I wondered if any other users had exerienced similar?
It was the 10mIL/mL assay. The packaging was undamaged and it appears to be an isolated incident. Obvioulsy the test was invalid, but I've had to send a communication to Governance and the Clinical areas as there's a risk of mis-interpretation.
I'd be interested to find out if anyone else has reported any problems?

Dear all
I have been approached this morning for APTT measurement at POCT. We currently offer INR but not APTT. What do other Trusts offer and what systems do they use. Company details would be very useful if available.
Many thanks as ever.

Hi Helen,
You may also want to look at the Abbott i-STAT System.
Like Steve, we also have a couple of elderly Hemochron Junior's in the Trust which are used in Interventional Radiology and the Cath Lab but the Abbott solution looked interesting.
