INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DEMAND RESPONSIVE TRANSPORTATION: FROM DIAL-A-RIDE TO TECHNOLOGY ENABLED SERVICES
September 26-28, 2016, Breckenridge, Colorado
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Demand responsive transportation (DRT) encompasses a wide range of services and target markets. Whether called DRT, paratransit, or flexible transit, the advances in technology, changing demographics, evolving residential and commuting patterns, and the desire for more tailored versions of collective transportation are all driving forward both traditional and newer forms of demand responsive service.
Sessions are expected to cover the following themes:
1. Service Concepts and Markets
2. Technology-Enabled Innovations
3. Performance
4. Organizational Development for Service Delivery
5. Health Care-Related Transportation
The Conference Steering Committee is inviting abstracts for presentations or posters to be made at the conference. Presentations can include a paper that will be made available to conference attendees, but a formal paper is not a requirement. Abstracts should be limited to 600 words, and include the name(s), affiliation, and contact information of the proposed presenter(s), and whether a paper will be generated in addition to the presentation. Proposed presentations should specifically address and reference one of the above themes, or identify a related topic and whether a presentation or poster (or either) is preferred.
Abstracts should be submitted by online portal to the Transportation Research Board at www.trb.org/Conferences/DRT2016.aspx (select Presentations and Workshops).
The deadline for abstracts is April 4, 2016. No abstracts will be considered that do not follow these guidelines. Presenters receive reduced registration rates.
