Surely QR codes provide a link to exactly where you need the visitor to
go. I use QR codes in different ways. Direct links to specific pages
within our website are good for part of our site and to supplement
displays. I also link directly to our YouTube videos and Soundcloud
clips. Where the phone/wifi signal is poor, mostly within our old
building, I use the text feature. The person has the object with the
casual visitor description in front of them, I add additional information
on a QR code for the more inquisitive visitor.
QR codes are free to make so I see no reason not to use them, it's up to us
to use them creatively and effectively.
By the way, we are exploring other options of improving the wifi with
beacons etc but the cost is proving prohibitive.
