Dear Michael,
does your CCP4 directory really contain two asterisks, as shown in
/xprog/ccp4/ccp4-7.0_64/*ccp4-7.0*/BALBES/bin_py/balbes ?
I would imagine using a wild card character in a path causing a lot of
trouble.
