Hi Cheng,
there are several structures with disulfides between adjacent cysteins reported e.g.
one from our group 1qlw
x=0

Subject: [ccp4bb] Disulfide bond with minimal intermediate region between two Cys
Hi everyone,
I am wondering if -C-x-C- could form a disulfide bond? x represents any amino acid. If not, at least how many residues there should be in between two Cys residues in order to allow them form a disulfide bond?
Thanks,
Cheng
