Subject: Health services for vulnerable migrant women
Importance: High
Friends - can we rally behind Hiranthi and Maternity Action, and pass this on to others who can also contribute to the 'consultation' - this will help to raise the profile and salience of services for this group of women, which I am sure we would all agree was a good and necessary thing! Priority goes to those causes which seem to attract attention or 'the squeaky wheel gets the oil' so lets be squeaky....

Commissioning health services for vulnerable migrant women
Dear colleague
We would like to invite you to complete this short survey through the link given below. The survey is part of a project that Maternity Action (www.maternityaction.org.uk<http://www.maternityaction.org.uk> ) and the Women's Health and Equality Consortium (www.whec.org.uk<http://www.whec.org.uk> ) have commissioned to investigate how Clinical Commissioning Groups and local authority Public Health departments, together with Health and Wellbeing Boards in England, are addressing the general health needs of vulnerable migrant women in local areas. We are interested in any aspect of vulnerable migrant women's health that local commissioners and public health have addressed. The aim of the survey is to identify any special projects, needs assessments or other work especially relevant to this group, as well as any barriers to service provision. The results of the survey and the wider project will enable a sharing of good practice examples and recommendations for service improvement for this category of women, amongst commissioners and practitioners.

We very much look forward to receiving your responses. Please pass the survey link(s) on to any colleagues with specific responsibilities for migrant health and do feel free to contact me ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) if you would like any more information about this project.
Thank you very much
