Thanks for responding. My apologies that I wasn't so clear the first time around.
To clarify, I plotted the group slopes. What I did is I extracted the cope values of brain region A from each individual subject and plotted this value against their corresponding continuous variable data point. I then plotted a fitted regression line by group. The end result is that for one group I get a positive slope (Group 1) and for the other group (Group 2), I get a negative slope. However, the negative slope is the significant, steeper slope. This contradicts my original FEAT report finding where Group 1 slope > Group 2 slope in brain region A. My question is if this is because Group 1 slope is a positive slope and by nature will be greater than the negative slope of Group 2, but has nothing to do with the significance of that slope per say.
