On New Year's Day on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, Jane Campbell interviewed Times columnist Matthew Parris about an article he had written about the Assisted Dying Bill presented to the UK Parliament last year. Jane and I do not completely agree on the issue of assisted dying but - as my blogpost makes clear - her argument has been enormously strengthened by the way Matthew Parris has laid bare the prejudicial attitudes that can and do threaten the lives of older and/or disabled people. We live in distressing and depressing times.
