Does anyone have any advice on how to hire co-investigators, to triangulate one's hypothesis?
I have a grant to employ two Zambian co-investigators, each doing two months qualitative research (separately from me) then analysing the data and co-authoring a paper with me. I have already written a paper on the topic. My aim is for them to have as much intellectual freedom as possible, to pursue alternative perspectives, rather than to be constrained/ blinkered by my partial understanding/ theory/ outlook etc. They would be undertaking independent, parallel research - so not RAs/translators.
I was thinking of sending an email to Zambian universities and research institutions, advertising the position, sharing a link to a 4 page version of paper on the topic, then invite (a) CVs; (b) a 2 page brief of how they would go about researching the questions raised by my study, i.e. their methods, questions, concerns, hypotheses, likely sample etc.
Does the format sound sensible? Any suggestions/ links to similar projects/ adverts/ guidelines would be most appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance.
Very best wishes,
Alice
