Are you looking for a temporary archivist job?
Our client, a leading London university, is recruiting for a qualified archivist until the end of June. Starting ASAP and working full time you will be responsible for accessioning, appraisal and cataloguing of the archives collection.
Other responsibilities will include repackaging archive material into acid-free folders and boxes, cataloguing using CALM in line with ISAD(G) standards, creating related online resources, and providing professional assistance to researchers and members of the public.
This archives job is a great opportunity to build on your practical experience within a highly respected and quite specialist archive collection.
To apply for this archives job you will need sound knowledge of international standards in archival description, be a proficient user of a wide range of IT packages, including archival cataloguing systems, demonstrate experience of working in a customer-focused environment, preferably an archive reading room, as well as experience of appraising and cataloguing archive collections.
