Hi All
Could anyone offer some advice relating to an accident at work. Unsure if this is RIDDOR reportable or not.
The lady involved slipped on a wet floor whilst assiting a colleague. The colleague had not informed her the floor was wet and that she had spilt something.
The lady fell directly to the ground injuring her right leg and lower back. This injury occurred in August she is still experiencing difficulities and pain. She remained at work has had no sickness absence related to this incident. However, she is struggling with some elements of her role and has paid over £400 in private chiropractor sessions.
As she has not had any SA and it is not one of the 'specified illnesses' unsure if she is covered? Although I feel she sustained an injury as a result of the way her colleague was working.
I have advised her to complete an incident form etc and to seek further guidance on loss of earnings from HR
Trying to get this wrapped up by 5pm today so any swift responses would be really helpful.
Thanks
