Hi All,
Looking for something interesting to help you work in a new way in the new year?
The Oxford University Museums Partnership is holding an event with Melanie Howard, the Chair of the Future Foundation:
The Long View: How futures thinking can help us plan and innovate (26 February 2016, Ashmolean Museum)
Following the success of Oxford Cultural Leaders in March 2015, we have been working with the faculty from that programme to deliver a series of one day events picking up on key themes from the programme. This first workshop of the year focusses on the importance of cultural leaders taking a long-term view in their approach to new challenges and to enable long term resilience. The workshop has been designed to be highly interactive and will immerse participants in the techniques and approaches used by futures experts. The day will look at:
· The basic concepts behind futures thinking and scenario planning
· Applying these concepts to provide fresh and challenging perspectives on issues, and to develop an organisation's mission, strategy and innovative programmes
· Identify real drivers for the futures of the sector and levers available to shape institutional and sector change.
The day costs £125 - for more details or book visit: http://goo.gl/RLe1op
