On behalf of Professor Alun Davies, Chief Investigator, we are seeking an experienced statistician to join our Trial Steering Committee (TSC) for a new trial called Graduated compression as an Adjunct to Pharmacoprophylaxis in Surgery - GAPS Trial.  GAPS is funded by the NIHR HTA trial (project ref 14/140/61).  A trial synopsis is attached for information.

Trial set up commenced in December 2015, with ethical approval anticipated in January 2016.  The first TSC meeting will be held in early 2016 with subsequent meetings will occuring six months after the RCT opens to recruitment and then annually until last patient is recruited.  Additional meetings may be called if the Chair requests to meet more frequently.  

Please note that reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed by the grant.
