PhD Studentships in Astrophysics at Lancaster University

Up to two PhD studentships are available in the new Observational
Astrophysics research group that has recently been established at
Lancaster University. The group focuses on observational cosmology,
including observational tests of dark energy, galaxy
formation/evolution and related areas. Staff members in place or soon
to arrive are Prof. Isobel Hook, Dr. David Sobral and Dr. Andreas
Koch.
The studentships are available from 1st October 2016. Potential
projects will involve research via analysis of existing datasets,
collection of new data from world-class telescopes and preparation for
use of future major telescopes such as LSST, Euclid, SKA, E-ELT and
JWST.
The studentships fully cover fees and maintenance for UK and EU
