Dear All,
The Quantitative Methods Research Group invites suggestions for sponsored sessions at the RGS-IBG Annual International Conference 2016 in London from Tuesday 30th August to Friday 2nd September 2016 (conference details: http://bit.ly/JFB39g).
One of the benefits of research group sponsorship, in addition to promotion of sessions and support in submission of session proposals, is that session organisers may suggest names of established speakers for whom the QMRG can offer a free conference pass, assuming the criteria for guest passes are met.
If you are interested in organising a QMRG-sponsored session please email a session proposal to the QMRG Conferences Officer Thomas Etherington ([log in to unmask]) by 4pm on Monday 11th January.
Proposals for QMRG sponsorship should include the following details:
1) The session title and abstract (maximum of 300 words);
2) The name(s) and affiliation(s) of the session convener(s);
3) The format of the session (paper session, panel discussion, etc);
4) The number of 1h 40 minutes slots requested (please note sessions may not normally occupy more than two timeslots);
5) The name of other RGS-IBG research groups from which you are seeking sponsorship.
The committee will make decisions on sponsored sessions by Friday the 15th of January, ahead of the deadline for submitting sessions to the RGS-IBG on the 19th February 2016 (full session proposal details: http://bit.ly/1jK35BL).
Please let me know if you have any queries.
Kind regards,
Tom Etherington
QMRG Conferences Officer
