**cross-posted**
Hi all,
Here at Loughborough over the past few years we've introduced a number of initiatives to encourage leisure reading, particularly amongst the student population. To this end, we now have a substantial standalone leisure reading collection, participate in the global BookCrossing scheme and are into our third year of running a library-based Student Book Club. It would be really helpful to gain an insight into what's going on at other institutions. I'm particularly interested in how these initiatives are funded. Also, have you been able to evaluate the level of student engagement, anecdotally or otherwise?
Next year we hope to organise an event to facilitate a leisure reading exchange of ideas and also to help foster partnerships with other institutions. Gaining an overview of what's going on out there already will help us to tailor the session accordingly.
A resume of all feedback received will be posted to the list thereafter.
Kind regards,
Sharon
