This would suit an enthusiastic, well-organised professional with experience of committee procedures and an interest in research.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Responsible for all aspects of the governance and administration of LIRG as a CILIP Special Interest Group
• Ensuring committee meetings are effectively organized and minuted
• Maintain effective records

LIRG Awards and Prizes Officer
LIRG offers four prizes to its members, the Student Prize, Research Prize, Scan Award and a new prize for Practitioner Research. The Awards and Prizes Officer co-ordinates the awards, liaises with other committee members around the marketing of the awards, sets the criteria and co-ordinates the judging of the awards, seeks sponsorship for the awards and helps out at relevant training events.
This is an exciting aspect of our work and LIRG is looking for an additional Prizes and Awards Officer to work alongside the current officer Alison Brettle. As well as contributing to the tasks above, this particular role will involve seeking sponsorship for the Research Prize and assisting with awards-related training events. This would suit an enthusiastic, outgoing and organised professional with an interest in research who wants to build up their networking and training experience. The closing date for this post is 31st December 2015.
