Hi Maria,
I'd define things like this:
[x] Logical CPU: A logical CPU is the minimum possible integer unit of
processing resource that can be allocated to a job. No kind of job can
run with less than 1 logical CPU. In many circumstances, this logical
value is not directly related to the hardware itself.
[y] Execution Environment: The smallest unit of computing that can
contains independent Logical CPUs. This is typically a worker node.
[1] GLUE2ExecutionEnvironmentLogicalCPUs: the total number of logical
CPUs an Execution Environment provides.
[2] GLUE2BenchmarkValue: The power delivered by a Logical CPU. The
procedure for calculating this on an Execution Environment with 12
Logical CPUs is as follows: run 12 HS06 benchmarks at once, total the
results and divide by 12.
Cheers,
Steve
