for those who can't be bothered reading the detail of this at the moment, one of the interesting details in this is the EQS for BaP drops by a factor of approx x300, to 1.7e-4ug/l
on one site we are looking at, this results in a soil concentration which was protective of a WE AC dropping from 300mg/kg BaP to 1mg/kg BaP and the protection of the surface Water environment becoming the risk driver, replacing BaP and Human health.
This was for a reasonably sophisticated RA that was even considering capacity to dilute in SW and dilution.
the "wins" with respect to BaP in soils resulting from S4UL and C4SLs have been swiftly lost to the Water environment
