Hi all,
It's unlikely I can attend the 10th, apologies.
You may find the attached 'Universal Principles of Assistive Technology' of use, something I produced last year.
Irene, you may also wish to add ACCESS: YouTube (accessyoutube.org.uk), ACCESS: Mail (accessmail.org.uk) and an online Text-to-Speech app (accesstechnology.org.uk/tts) to your list of free resources.
Kind regards,
Mike

Hi Claire,
I've attached a document I made of free or inbuilt software which could be useful. I haven't revised this for some time but I thought people might find it useful,
Best wishes
Irene

The first face to face meeting of the Assistive Technology Network will take place on the Thursday 10 Dec 2015 at College Development Network, Stirling. The Network is a joint venture between City of Glasgow College, CDN, Jisc and -most importantly- practitioners, gathering together to share knowledge and expertise on assistive technology solutions for learners.
We’d like the first session to be fun, collaborative and informative so we are inviting those attending to reflect on a hi-tech or lo-tech AT solution which has helped make a difference or solve a problem and to share this with us on the day. Examples could be something as simple as making word documents speak or increasing the line spacing to make information easier to read. You can deliver/share informally at your table or take the floor.
Useful links:

If you are attending, please also bring along your own mobile device and earphones if you can.
We’re really looking forward to seeing everyone on the day. Please book directly through College Development Network if interested.
Kind regards,
Claire Guthrie
