Dear all
I am summarising and alerting you to some exciting changes which will shortly affect the way ARLIS communicates with our members and the wider world.

The Art Libraries Journal ALJ will be available through CUP from January. Invoices for 2016 will only be received from CUP and will be for both subscription to the journal and if you are already a Member then institutional membership of ARLIS as well. Personal membership
Personal membership will continue as before and Lorraine will be invoicing you. Membership benefits will continue to include publication and workshop discounts and your subscriptions support the work of the variety of ARLIS committees engaged with all aspects of art librarian from professional development, cataloguing and classification to publications.
ARLISmatters
The bi-monthly ARLIS News-sheet which has been published in print and circulated to ARLIS members and others for over 40 years, will in January become an online open-access news magazine/blog, ARLISmatters. To quote the editors: “We hope that this will offer a reinvigorated forum for art library news: a space for everyone working in art/design/architecture libraries and archives in the UK to share ideas and news and get involved in creating a site that's dynamic, interesting, relevant and up to date (and in full colour for the first time, too!)
Directory of members
The Directory of members will also be available online on the ARLIS website. Please contact Lorraine if you need to update your details. ARLIS Council members are working hard to review membership packages so that we can develop as a vibrant, inclusive, relevant, responsive valuable (and valued) professional community.
2016
Next year is going to be an exciting year with all these positive changes, a full programme of inspiring workshops and visits and what promises to be an amazing conference in Dublin to look forward to in July.
If you have any queries about your subscription/membership renewals please contract Lorraine Blackman ARLIS Business Manager.
Best wishes
David Pulford
ARLIS Chair
