Hi Melissa
This is not exactly what you are after, but ADS are planning on doing this
soon. Unfortunately not in time for your class this year.
Currently we display images in our collections with just their image
caption and file name and have a downloadable csv file with associated
image metadata per dataset/project.
This is an example from a small dataset where you can see the
downloadable csv file at the top of the page:
http://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/archives/view/thearcha2-216920/downloads.cfm?archive=Image
As we hold the metadata we provide in these csv files our CMS,
alongside additional metadata, we are developing templates to display
this in a manner similar to our overall dataset/project level metadata
pages.
This is an example of those overview metadata pages:
http://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/archives/view/glastonbury_ahrc_2014/metadata.cfm.
Not exactly what your after but a heads up that we are going to be
doing this relatively soon and will be probably writing a blog post
about the process that you might want to watch out for.
Best
Katie
