Dear Colleagues,

With less than two weeks to Vitae's next event entitled: Supporting Open Researchers, we are delighted to announce the final speakers who will join us on the 1st December in Leeds.

Isidoros Karatzas, Head of Sector Ethics and Research Integrity at the European Commission, will be presenting on the interaction of ethics and research integrity with the open research/science, including Horizon 2020 funding.

Dr Kevin Ashley, Director of the Digital Curation Center, will speak on FOSTER, a European project which aims to set in place sustainable mechanisms for EU researchers to foster open science in their daily workflow.

They will be joined by:

•	Helen Blanchett, Jisc: How does open access change behaviours?
•	Professor Stephen Curry, Imperial College London: Implications for researcher development from the changing culture of research
•	Derek Stewart OBE, National Institute for Health Research: Engaging the public throughout the research lifecycle
•	Dr Rob Daley, Heriot-Watt University: A personal experience of developing the open researcher
•	And more...

'Vitae Connections: Supporting Open Researchers' is Vitae's headline event for the Open Researcher theme (www.vitae.ac.uk/focus-on). It will explore the implications for the professional development of researchers; taking into account the competences needed for success in an open research environment.

Best wishes,
Beata
