Dear list,
I am writing to you to inform that, in the context of the "Accelerated
Computing" task of EGI-Engage project [1] [2], we are looking for grid
sites hosting clusters with GPGPU or MIC cards who cloud be interested
in exposing them through the CREAM CE. As pointed out in the links
above, a prototype of CREAM-CE supporting by now GPGPUs is already
available for clusters managed by Torque/pbs_sched and Torque/Maui,
while is under development for the LSF and SGE LRMSes.
It would be therefore helpful for us to have further grid sites,
especially the ones managed with HTCondor and SLURM LRMSes, who are
interested in these developments.
Interested grid sites can join the testbed sending to me an e-mail and
providing us with:
- one or more testing application examples that we can execute on their
GPGPU (or MIC) cluster and the commands/options used for their submission
- remote access to a server as a user who can submit the above
application sample jobs to their GPGPU (or MIC) cluster
- eventually, admin rights to allow us to deploy and test the CREAM
prototype directly on top of their GPGPU (or MIC) cluster LRMS
Lastly, for those of you who are planning to attend the next EGI Forum
in Bari the 10-13 November 2015, you are welcome to join the session on
Federated Accelerated Computing scheduled the Wednesday November 11 at
11:00 [3].
Thanks for your attention.
Best regards,
Marco
