There are now 37 repositories declaring support for RIOXX which is fantastic - the number continues to grow.
The level of compliance with RIOXX is variable between repositories, which is entirely to be expected at this stage in the uptake of this still new metadata profile.
What is a little worrying is the variability in the results of validating samples of records from any given repository. It seems that repositories may be (perhaps unwittingly) exporting records through the OAI-PMH interface as ‘rioxx’ formatted, when they are not intended to be reported as such.
I have explained this in a new blog post on the RIOXX website:
http://www.rioxx.net/2015/11/25/rioxx-and-oai-pmh/
I would very much appreciate comments there - especially from people who may already be exporting RIOXX records from their repository.
Many thanks,
Paul
