HELP NEEDED TEACHING GOETHE TEXTS THIS NOVEMBER AT UNIVERSITY OF YORK
The Department of English and Related Literature at the University of York runs various modules for 3rd year undergraduates as part of the Foreign Literature requirement on the English degree programme. One of these is Goethe II which is running this term. Unfortunately the member of staff who teaches it has been off sick, and after covering what we can with part time members of staff, we have just learned that she will not be able to resume for the rest of the term.
This leaves us with three seminars to find a tutor for:
Die Wahlverwandschaften - w/c 16th November;
Faust II - w/c 23rd November;
Wilhelm Meister - w/c 30th November.
Can anyone be persuaded to teach these seminars? The seminars run for 2 hours and at the moment are scheduled on either Mondays at 10am or Tuesday at 10am. We could revisit this however, if these times were not convenient. We would pay £48.57 per hour and any travel expenses. There is a comprehensive VLE site which was set up by the previous lecturer, with the reading for each seminar and resources already in place.
We are also looking for someone to cover the German part of a French and German Drama 1920 - 1960 module, in the Spring Term. Further details can be sent on request.
