AudioNote can be used on a laptop (Mac and Windows) as well as on other portable devices for a fraction of the price of Livescribe (under £20.) If your student prefers typing to writing, and has a device already – this software might be preferred. Elaine has used it on laptops with success.
Livescribe remains useful for students who prefer to handwrite, or for students who prefer/need not to carry more heavyweight devices around.
