The University of Auckland’s Statistics Department is seeking to appoint an excellent and innovative statistics teacher as a Professional Teaching Fellow.
The department has a very strong international reputation for research and innovation in statistics education and a reputation for and commitment to teaching excellence. You will be encouraged to investigate novel strategies and technologies to enhance student learning and engagement, to support diverse styles of teaching and learning and delivery of high quality course materials. You will also have a proven record of excellence in teaching and have demonstrated successful innovation or leadership in teaching. You would join a diverse team of Professional Teaching Fellows with backgrounds ranging from PhDs in statistics to stellar teachers from the secondary education sector.
The Department of Statistics at the University of Auckland is the largest statistics department in Australasia, currently employing approximately 50 staff, and is the home of R. We teach a full range of courses, cover a broad spectrum of statistical research areas and offer a consulting service (see web site: https://www.stat.auckland.ac.nz/ ).
