Hello Tom,
I did this as part of my PhD looking at commute movements from London Output Areas to the London Congestion Charge Zone (split into OAS). Based on Census 2001.
Happy to have a quick chat - next Wednesday 28th best.
Kind regards
Alison

Subject: [UTSG] UK 2011 Census journey to work: accessing data at a secure ONS laboratory
Hello,
Please read on IF you have visited a secure ONS laboratory to analyse detailed commute pattern data from the census.
We are interested in going beyond the MSOA to MSOA commute travel by mode that is possible from publicly available data. The next stage is to visit a secure location to look at OA to OA data by mode (e.g. for aggregations of OAs that form town centres around Greater Manchester).
We understand the process that needs to be gone through in order to access this data.
But have you accessed this journey to work data in a secure ONS lab yourself and would you be willing to share your experience with us, perhaps via a brief phone call? Or perhaps you know a researcher who has?!
Your advice appreciated,
Tom
