I'm trying to normalise a participant from an fMRI study using DARTEL as the standard normalisation method hasn't worked too well. In the SPM Manual (p456) it says that after segmenting the anatomical image for the participant:
"To actually estimate the warps, use SPM!Tools!Dartel Tools!Run Dartel (create Templates) in order to generate a series of templates and a flow field for each subject."
When I Select Run Dartel (create templates) in the batch editor the filter on the file selector is '^r.*' suggesting you need to select the realigned functional images of the participant in this step. This is what I did. The subsequent analysis took a long time.
The next step (Normalise to MNI Space) then requires you to enter the 'Template_6.nii' file and the "u_cl.nii" files for the subject. However no Template_6.nii files were produced from the create templates stage (I only have 'Template_5.nii' files, one from each run of functional data). I also have u_cl.nii files for each functional image, rather than one for the subject. Have I performed the create templates stage wrong? Should I have entered the anatomical images for the 'create templates' stage?
Thanks
Rob
