De Montfort University and Leicester City Council are delighted to offer a unique partnership opportunity for a student to undertake fully funded PhD research on the implications of the government's local devolution agenda, commencing in January 2016. Supervised by Professor Colin Copus (http://www.dmu.ac.uk/professor-colin-copus), the student will work closely with the mayor, deputy mayor, chief operating officer, councillors and senior staff of Leicester City Council, in developing the research questions, the project and its outcomes and in conducting the research using the city council as an in-depth case study.
The successful candidate will be based in the Local Governance Research Unit in the Department of Politics and Public Policy, Faculty of Business and Law at De Montfort University.
