Hi Jo,
Personally, I welcome posts from the wider environment of science communication. A big chunk of science communication is not direct to the public, but peer-to-peer scientists and business-to-business, all of which eventually trickles out to the public, and it's in our interests to be supporting clear communication of science in all areas.
As another post said, it is also useful for folks who are considering a change of job to see where else their skills might take them.
