Pat, the controlled burn (to reduce fuel load danger) is supposed to be
conducted at safe times by The DSE, Department of Sustainability and
Environment (known by most up here as the Department of Sparks and Embers)
but when a sudden, windy hot snap ensues, things can and often do, go awry.
Of Max's found towns, the nearest to us here is Tynong.
