REMINDER: BSA Race, Ethnicity and Migration Stream CfP deadline for the BSA Annual Conference 2016: Global Societies: Fragmenting and Connecting. The conference will take place at Aston University from 6-8 April 2016.
We would like to invite abstracts for papers/presentations.
Abstract deadline is 16 October 2015
The call is open, but would particularly welcome abstracts in the following areas related to race, ethnicity and/or migration:
• Theory
• Racialisation
• Research Methods
• Identities
• Racism, Anti-Semitism, Islamophobia and Xenophobia • Anti-racism • Race and Class • Migrations and Migrants • Asylum and Refugees • Diaspora • Transnationalism • Citizenship • Gender and Sexualities • Intersectionality • Education • Youth • Popular Culture • Sport • Crime and Criminal Justice • Far Right and Hate Groups • Austerity • Post-colonialism/Decoloniality • Social Change
The stream will be made up of two sub-streams/strands: Race & Ethnicity and Diaspora, Migration & Transnationalism. These correspond to the two study groups involved in the coordination of the stream.
Please state on your abstract submission form the stream name and whether you would like to be considered for:
1. Race and Ethnicity
2. Diaspora, Migration and Transnationalism 3. Either/Both
