Mathematical Biography: A Celebration of MacTutor: St Andrew's 16th-17th Sept 2016. This 2-day conference will address the cultural roles of mathematical biography and historiographic issues surrounding writing biographies of mathematicians. Planned sessions include the changing cultural significance of individuals in mathematics, the impact of new technologies on mathematical biography, and problems of audience, purpose, and translation. One session will celebrate the achievements of the Mactutor History of Mathematics website, and canvas the views of users on how they would like to see it further developed.
