Dear all,
Apologies for the mass email.
The AHRC is funding a follow-on symposium for the LitSciMed programme (http://litscimed.org.uk/), which originally ran from 2009 to 2011. There are 20 places for delegates and the fund will pay for travel from within the UK and accommodation and meals. The event will be held at Lancaster University from 2pm on Wednesday 30th March 2016 until 5pm on Thursday 31st March. There will be talks and workshops on jobs (academic and other), publishing, impact and working with non-academic institutions, research grant bidding, and other things relevant to people at an early stage in their career. Speakers so far include Professors Alice Jenkins, Tim Fulford, and Martin Willis. I am hoping that the event will be relevant to those who wish to work within or outside of academia.
If you have attended a LitSciMed event in the past, can you reply to this message, letting me know that you have received it? If you know anyone else’s current email address, would you forward this message to them? If you are a member of staff who is still in touch with a student who came to an event, could you please pass this on?
If you would like to attend, please email myself and Andrew Lacey ([log in to unmask]) with an estimate of your travel costs and a few sentences on why this event would be relevant to you by MONDAY 2ND NOVEMBER 2015.
Many thanks,
Sharon
