You might want to watch some of Chris Wilson's various videos on Web Audio. In particular the older ones from 2013 give a good idea of capabilities.

As for limitations, the most serious is probably lack of support in IE, Opera mini and older Android browsers.

Subject: [MCG] Web Audio API
Good morning!
Quick question: Has anyone worked with the Web Audio API in a web application, or with developers using it? I'm thinking of using it on a fairly significant project & would like to get a quick impression of both its capacities and limitations. Anything that seems useful would be much appreciated!
If I get a good list of resources/recommendations/examples, I promise to summarise back to the list.
Thank you!
Danny
