The Museums Computer Group is delighted to announce that John Coburn, Digital Programmes Manager at Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums will be joining us as our keynote speaker for the UKWM15 conference at the British Museum on 26 October.
The conference is two weeks today, so don't delay - if you haven't got your ticket yet then book now to hear from John and our other fascinating speakers www.ukmw15.eventbrite.co.uk<http://www.ukmw15.eventbrite.co.uk>.
John will share insights on 'Finding space for the experiment: digital collaborations and their influence on the museum.' You may know John for his work on the creative reuse potential of collections in Museum ID or heard him speak at the Nesta, Arts Council England and Arts and Humanities Research Council conference 'Making Digital Work'. We're delighted that John has agreed to join us and share his experiences from working on a range of interesting projects and collaborating with a wide range of partners over the last decade, he is an engaging and thoughtful speaker.
Visit our website to find out more about John and see our full programme for the day http://museumscomputergroup.org.uk/2015/09/15/ukmw15-programme/.
We are also delighted to announce our provocations line up - five short lightning talks just before lunch designed to provoke debate, and sure to stimulate discussion over the break.

* Katherine Biggs - Pop-up palaces to create connections. How can you build connections with audiences too far away to visit your sites? Take your sites to them of course!
