Hello,
Three replies to my enquiry with reference to critical review of policy
1) An introduction to evidence-informed public health and a compendium of critical appraisal tools for public health practice
http://www.nccmt.ca/pubs/2008_07_IntroEIPH_compendiumENG.pdf
2) As far as we know, there isn't a critical appraisal tool such as the ones used for research (such as the checklists etc). The closest you can probably come to this is this government guide for appraising the effects of health policy (it's more a guide to performing a health impact assessment of policies): https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/191503/policy_appraisal_and_health.pdf
3) "Worth looking at the NICE Information Standard?

Best Wishes
Matt
