Dear all,
Apologies for cross-posting,
Here at the Royal College of Ob & Gynae library we are considering providing our UK users (ST1 and above) with more support to undertake systematic reviews.
I’ve found a few case studies of the services provided by UK librarians/info specialists, but would like to get more of a feel for how much of this is going on already. Can you tell me if you are already/used to/ or are considering providing any of the following:
1. Links to external guidance and tools such ashttp://www.imperial.ac.uk/admin-services/library/subject-support/medicine/literature-searching-guidance/ or http://libguides.hull.ac.uk/systematic
2. Developing search strategies (including associated recording and writing up for publication)
3. Doing the searches, downloading and deduping results
4. Anything else (selecting articles, extracting data etc)
I've seen a survey for Canada (Murphy SA, Boden C. Benchmarking participation of Canadian university health sciences librarians in systematic reviews. J Med Libr Assoc. 2015 Apr;103(2):73-8. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4404858/) but I'm not aware of anything similar for the UK.
Thanks in advance,
Elaine
