In preparation for next year’s theme for Local History Week we are offering all Local Studies colleagues a chance to get together.
Where better to discuss the theme of Engineering and Technology than in Falkirk – a location steeped in industrial history.
We will visit the Falkirk Wheel and in the afternoon we shall have a talk by local expert Geoff Bailey – his topic will be ‘Local Inventors’.
This informal but informative day is designed to get us together, inspire us for the coming year and to share our news and recent experiences in our work. Please come along and join us, you are very welcome!
There's lots more information on the day on the attached flyer.
The Falkirk Wheel is easy to get to from either of Falkirk's two train stations - a dedicated bus service (http://www.visitfalkirk.com/plan-your-visit/getting-here/) goes between the stations, the Wheel and the Kelpies.
Look forward to seeing you there!
