Web of Science Service for UK Education Support have organised a series of ***FREE*** 'Web of Science Update' training sessions in various locations around the UK, training is provided by Thomson Reuters. Library/research support staff at academic institutions who subscribe to the Web of Science Service for UK Education are invited to attend one of these events to learn more about recent developments to the service. Anyone wishing to attend is advised to book a place at their earliest convenience.
During the course Thomson Reuters will explain how the inclusion of Article Level Usage Metrics will improve research discovery and how author identification has been made easier by pulling papers directly from ORCID. Thomson Reuters will also explain the new metrics available in JCR on the Incites platform (JHCD) which provide more transparency in order to better understand a journals performance. In addition Thomson Reuters will provide details of future planned developments.

* RID and ORCID improved visibility.
* Incites Journal Citation Report 2014 data and new features.
* Incites Essential Science Indicators introduction.
* Future Development: Emerging Sources Citation Index.
* Future Development: persistent marked list.
