The Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre is the public-facing area of Jodrell Bank. In 2015, it was awarded funding by the Heritage Lottery Fund for ‘First Light at Jodrell Bank’ - an ambitious project to conserve and showcase the world leading heritage of the site.
The purpose of this role is to support the development of the project’s Activity Plan and deliver this once the project is implemented.
In particular :-
Coordinate project monthly reporting to HLF
Coordinating community history project activities, organising meetings, oral history interviews etc
Support the recruitment and management of volunteers
Develop dedicated website content
Carry out evaluation work
Support the Archive and Collections team and work with them in future.
You will have :
Post graduate qualification in archive or museum studies or similar – or relevant equivalent experience of the museum sector
1st degree in science or science heritage discipline or similar
Previous experience of working in a substantial role on an HLF-supported project.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders of different backgrounds
Experience of working on scientific, technological or engineering-related objects
