Shifting Worlds Symposium: This innovative programme of events will provide the backdrop for "Shifting Worlds: Reimagining the Industrial Revolution", a symposium 9-10 October, when academics and artists will meet to discuss the themes explored by "Shifting Worlds". Programme includes presentations and workshops by Jeremy Deller, John Davies, Faye Claridge and Nathan Tromans.

Landscape with Machines Exhibition: 28th September - 18th December: This eclectic exhibition brings together artworks by leading contemporary artists, including Tony Cragg, John Davies, Jeremy Deller, Richard Long and Michael Landy, to be shown alongside selected pieces from the Museum's nationally Designated collection of Industrial Art. It celebrates artists' reactions to the social, technological and aesthetic changes brought about by the Industrial Revolution.
